A modern take with green and sustainable standards was applied to this 25 year-old Abu Dhabi Education Council building for the full refurbishment to accommodate the new staff and facilities requirements .
This refurbishment was rated 2 Pearl according to the building rating system of Estidama (arabic word for sustainability).
Estidama is a key aspect of the “Abu Dhabi Vision 2030” driven to build the Abu Dhabi emirate according to innovative green standards. All buildings must achieve 1 Pearl building rating (out of 5)
and 2 Pearl for all government-funded buildings are mandatory.
